“Although we have not spent a night in Varadero, we drove around this peninsula to try to understand what drives many people to this place. Everything here seems to be developed for mass-tourism. Huge hotels, a surplus of sourvenir stores and only tourists on the Streets. The white sand beaches are beautiful and if you like being pampered in a hotel for a week, you are the right place. But that is it”.
